Things I am interested in:
  • Boy Scouts
I was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout as a boy. Now that I have my own family, I have worked with my own two boys in the scouting program. My boys joined Pack 234 based in Fullerton where I was an assistant to my oldest son's Den Leader, Mr. John Covington, and became the Den Leader for my youngest son, starting in Tiger Cubs and going all the way through Webelos II. Both of my boys have since bridged up to Troop 1201 in Fullerton. I am active in the Backpacking and Canoeing Programs. I have spent a week backpacking in the Sierra's (including a trip to the top of Half-Dome) and a week canoeing down the Colorado River.

  • Church of Christ
I started attending church as a very young boy, having been brought by my babysitter. Some of my earliest memories include the Ball Road Church of Christ in Anaheim, California. Most of my youth was spent at the Cypress Church of Christ in Cypress, California. I've been a member of the Sunny Hills Church of Christ for the last 16+ years where I have raised my children. I have a passion for serving God which is the number one priority in my life, with family a close second.

  • Koi
I have a Koi pond in the back yard. I wasn't looking for one, but it came with the house. My mother claims I am trying to re-live my childhood. I don't maintain it very well, but in the past we have had baby koi survive to adulthood. We lost all of our original koi during a heat wave in 2008. We currently have 8 very nice looking koi that were given to us by a woman who could no longer maintain her pond. I've also kept salt water fish.

  • Media Server
I've been involved with personal computing for many years. I was very active in the BBS era and FIDOnet. One of my most recent hobbies is the building and maintaining of a Media Server and Personal Video Recorder. I've build a system that can record TV shows and play them on TV's through-out the house. I also store my collection of photos on the server so that I can display them on the TV to friends and family. Our small collection of music is also served up to our stereo system.

  • Web Site Design
In addition to full time employment as a Webmaster and application developer, I design web sites for family and organizations that I am involved in, including church and Boy Scouts. I will also develop sites as side jobs, providing a personal touch rather than the cookie cutter templates readily available on the web and used by high volume web design companies. I have over 8 years of experience in web design and web based programming.
